Why is a water well a lasting charity?
Clean water is the most basic need of life. For families living far from water sources, fetching water often falls on women and children, while contaminated water remains a major cause of disease.
A water well transforms not only today, but also the years to come. That is why it is regarded as Sadaqah Jariyah—an ongoing charity.
When a well is close to a village, children have more time for school, and families gain access to water for their livestock and gardens.
